Zenph Music

Our passion  for music is what drives us to perfect our technology for understanding performance. We apply this technology to create re-performances® because we believe in music experiences that are more immediate, powerful, and accessible.

Our process  frees artists from ‘frozen audio recordings,’ precisely replicating what they originally recorded and turning the audio back into a live performance. We have mastered this transformation for piano and acoustic bass, with more instruments to come. This computer-driven, human-assisted process invites discovery of the inner-workings of artistry, one composition and one performance at a time. The same software our team uses to edit data at a high resolution is now commercially available as RePerform.

Our products  are modern-day recordings of re-performances from legendary pianists. We also curate new collaborations with current artists, uncanny live concerts and theater shows, sheet music, and apps. Browse below to explore our work to date.

Our Albums

Oscar Peterson

Unmistakable

"The recording quality is gorgeous, in concert and binaural mixes, and the playing is true enough to Peterson’s crisp, dazzling style to make you forget this is an unmanned flight. Which would seem to be the point."
- Nate Chinen, New York Times

Spanish Masters

Albèniz, Granados, Falla

The Spanish Masters

"...The results are of a piece—one would never realize the huge distances of time that separate the piano accompaniments from the soloists."
- Audiophile Audition

Gordon Goodwin's Bid Phat Band

Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band
Act Your Age

"You should buy the album for this tune alone. Wow. Art Tatum is one on my heroes, and Gordon is crazy about him, too. The "ghost" of AT sitting in with the BPB is too much to take. This track is a cut above - musically and technologically."
- Giovanni C. Washington-Wright, Amazon.com

Joshua Bell's At Home With Friends

Joshua Bell

At Home With Friends

"While many of the artists who accompany Bell on the selections just might be his friends, Sergei Rachmaninoff obviously could not be one of them. Bell plays along with a re-performance of the legendary composer and pianist from a 1928 recording using the fascinating new Zenph computer system which transfers the performer's recording to a real piano... it works well here too."
Steven I. Ramm, Amazon.com

Rachmininoff

Rachmaninoff

Plays Rachmaninoff

"...this is perhaps the best recording of a piano I have heard."
- John Atkinson, Stereophile

Art Tatum

Art Tatum

Live at The Shrine

"So help me, this is a case where modern technology can give us what nothing else can — a recording of Tatum himself in performance with state-of-the-art sound instead of the tinny technology of pre-high fidelity recording... Remarkable."
Jeff Simon, The Buffalo News

Glen Gould

Glen Gould

Bach: The Goldberg Variations

"We were tremendously impressed. As many times as I've heard the '55 Goldbergs, it was like hearing them for the first time."
- Malcolm Lester, past managing director of the Glenn Gould Foundation
