Favorite Classical Piano Albums?
Our first classical album is Glenn Gould's 1955 Goldberg
Variations, followed by Rachmaninoff
playing his own works.
Our current work with Sony Masterworks calls for re-performances® of seven
more classical albums. Imagine picking through the Columbia and RCA Victor
archives, choosing your favorite solo piano recordings. But, now you can hear
them as if you were sitting in the room the moment they were recorded.
What would you pick? What performers do you crave to hear in the most modern
sound? Which albums do you consider as "5 stars for Performance, but 1 star for
Sound?"
Tell us your favorite solo piano albums, preferably ones more than 50 years old.
We'll see if we can get them on our short list.
